Green Lock FC has made another big stride in its quest to elevate talented footballers by inking a Memorandum of Understanding on trade relations with Kosovo Super Lig top side KF Liria, Prizren.

Ahead of Green Lock FC’s upcoming summer football tournament, the agreement stipulates “a mutual interest in the training, development, and transfer of players.” In other words, FC Liria and Green Lock FC will share resources and expertise in the identification of talents, their development, and work hand in glove to constantly ensure the best talents have a secure pathway to pursue their professional dreams in Europe.

The agreement also provides for periodic “cross-training of officials and football players in order to enhance each party’s understanding of their mutual mission.”

Simply known as Liria, Klubi Futbollistik Liria Prizren is one of the oldest and most successful professional clubs in Kosovo. Based in Prizren, the club plays in the Kosovo Superleague, which is the top tier of football in the country. The president of the club, Osmani Valon, will also be one of the international club officials that will grace the Green Lock FC Summer Tournament in Ikenne, Ogun State, in July.

A delighted Executive Vice Chairman of Green Lock FC, Olufunsho Peters, after signing the MoU, quipped, “We are setting an example of how football should be run in Nigeria. We will not stop seeking opportunities to promote players and have them scouted on the European level and anywhere across the world.”
